An early Bronco that has already had the expensive weekend.
Most first-generation Broncos for sale are one of two things: a fresh six-figure restomod, or a pretty truck with forty-year-old wiring and brakes underneath the paint. This one is the honest middle. It looks the part on a city street, a gravel drive out east or a ferry line, and the systems that make an old truck a chore have already been done.
In the autumn of 2021 the truck went to Bonez Garage in Montgomery, New York for a full sort-out. The shop pulled the entire original wiring harness and replaced it with a new Deluxe Bronco rewire kit, a new fuse block, alternator, gauges, switches and lighting. While it was apart they replaced the power steering gearbox, pump and hoses, the tie rods and drag link, the master cylinder, brake lines, drums and hoses, the heater box, the thermostat and cooling hoses, the fuel sending unit, and the ignition. The invoice runs to fifteen pages and about 190 shop hours, and it is linked below with the previous owner's details redacted.
Since then the truck has had a new white bikini top, new seats and new door panels from Toms Offroad, the early-Bronco specialists. It rides on Bilstein shocks and General Grabber AT2 tires on polished aluminum wheels, with front disc brakes and braided lines. The 302 V8 breathes through an Edelbrock intake and fires on a PerTronix Flame-Thrower coil. Power steering and power brakes make it a truck you can hand to anyone in the family.
It is a driver, not a trailer queen, and it is priced as one. Read the condition section, look at the underneath photos, and then come and drive it.
